Description
As a high quality power module, this xChip features 2 x AA batteries to deliver power to other connected xChips. The PB04 employs the INA199A2 current sensor and MAX11647 Analog to Digital Converter – two low-cost precision sensors which give ultra-accurate power measurement usage, battery voltage and current draw.
At the heart of the PB01 is an AAT1217 – a highly efficient, synchronous, fixed frequency (1.2 MHz), step-up converter developed specially for battery-powered applications. The high switching frequency and integrated control circuitry keeps outstanding regulation, ripple, and transient response across the entire load range.
The AAT1217 generates ultra efficient performance for light load conditions thanks to light load operation and low quiescent current. With a 1.2A peak inductor current limit, the AAT1217 can deliver an impressive 400mA from dual AA cells batteries.
